Version 0.7.2 patchnotes


This small patch took a lot longer than anticipated. I made a lot of changes under the hood so code related to how units detect and choose targets performs well and is easier to scale. Now that it's finally done, I'm going to start tackling the 0.8.0 update, which should include big features and new units.

  • Added mortars to the enemy team
    • The enemy player will use their mortars to fire a few volleys at your units before repositioning them (AKA the "Shoot and scoot" tactic).
  • Improved unit targeting logic
    • Units now check if they can shoot at a target that has rotated enough to show a different side of its armor.
  • Added a new way to control the camera
    • You can now double-tap the key associated with a control group to move the camera to it instantly
  • Added a visual effect on vehicle lights
  • Tweaked crater visual effect to scale according to explosion strength
  • Restricted maximum time scale to 8x to help prevent bugs under low framerate
  • Fixed bugs related to unit vision, targeting, and stealth
  • Fixed unity engine security vulnerability
  • Improved unit movement when the game's running slowly
  • Added console command (maxFPS) to limit the number of frames per seconds

Known issues

  • The textures of destroyed vehicles aren't mapped correctly
  • The music doesn't loop
